Hannah Rose Cash, MHC-LP
I’m Hannah Rose, a mental health counselor with a master’s degree from NYU, where I focused on gender, sexuality, and the unconscious, and earned an advanced certificate in LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing. My approach is psychodynamic at its core: insight-oriented, human-first, and built on a real relationship between us.
You might be carrying a complicated story shaped by past experiences, identity, relationships, and roles you didn’t always choose. Maybe you’ve outgrown certain ways of surviving, but are unsure of where to go from here. My hope is to help you explore that honestly, without judgment, and with more room for nuance, complexity, desire, and possibility.
In creatively questioning old stories, together we can unlock emotions that have been hidden away, integrate complexity, inspire newness and awaken a sense of wholeness. I see psychotherapy as a courageous process of coming to more intimately understand the experiences that have come to shape you.
I’ve worked with individuals and couples across the lifespan and have a particular interest in helping people navigate feelings around gender, sexuality, grief, self-esteem, separations, sexual assault and abuse, complex trauma, and artistic/creative process. My lens is trauma-informed and anti-oppressive, grounded in a value of curiosity and attention to the mind-body-connection.
In bravely slowing down and allowing for an unearthing of feeling, together we’ll explore patterns, reframe old narratives, and work toward a version of a life that feels more balanced, embodied, and true to you.
When I’m not in session, I can often be found captivated by music or film somewhere in the city, writing, and finding new ways to appreciate a complicated story.
