Esther Loh, LMHC

I’m Esther, a mental health counselor with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mercy College. I’m a reflective, relational therapist who will walk alongside you as you explore questions about who you are and who you’re becoming.

Therapy with me is about slowing down enough to explore the complexity of your inner world. You might feel overwhelmed by big emotions, tangled up in complicated family dynamics, or struggling with mood shifts that don’t quite make sense. Maybe you’re exactly where you thought you wanted to be, but you’re not proud of who you’ve become. Or maybe you’ve been questioning everything and aren’t sure what direction feels right anymore. That’s okay. Together, we’ll make space for the uncertainty and work toward clarity.

My goal is to help you build a sense of sanctuary within yourself. Life doesn’t promise constant peace, but we can work toward creating a steadiness that you can return to during moments of distress, transition, or big challenges.

I draw from narrative, psychodynamic, and logotherapy approaches, and integrate practical tools from CBT and DBT. I also welcome conversations about faith, spirituality, religion, and culture as meaningful parts of your identity and story. My background includes special education and school-based counseling, with experience in inpatient and intensive outpatient settings. I especially enjoy working with children on the spectrum, as well as adolescents and young adults navigating the intensity and possibility of growing up in today’s world.

Outside of session, you’ll likely find me in a dance studio practicing my cha-cha, journaling in a cozy coffee shop, or fully committed to rewatching every season of Love Is Blind.
